Holiday Inn Express & Suites Timmins, an IHG Hotel

I travel to Timmins 3-ish times per year for the past 10 years now. Central location. Groceries right across the parking lot. free breakfast. great hotel. It's my first choice!

We stayed 3 nights over the weekend attending hockey tournament. Hotel was full with a lot of hockey teams. It was very busy and noisy but staff took it in stride. Every staff member, from front desk, cleaners and breakfast room attendant, was polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and our accessible room was spacious. The only down side was our room was roadside and it was noisy from traffic. If you’re not a good sleeper, ask for room on other side

Seems newly renovated. Decent hotel, no complaints, a little noisy depending on side of your room. Could also hear guests clearly in hallways from room. Losing points on location, however it's not by any fault of the hotel, especially in the past, just now, lots of spill over from downtown addicts, makes it uncomfortable when parking and being accosted persistently.

The bad: My room was quickly cleaned without new towels. Bathtub drain didn't drain fast enough for a shower. The good: The staff at the reception was very nice and the smile on that lady cleaning and moping the lobby every morning at 7h30am was infectious. The friendly old man serving and tending to the breakfast counter had to much energy for his age. The pool & gym are very nice.

Really great hotel. Newly renovated rooms. Very clean. Super friendly staff. Huge breakfast area that even has fresh cinnamon rolls! I travel a lot for work and every time I stay here the front desk staff greet me and welcome me back. I will always choose to stay here when in town.

I had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Timmins! The hotel is right in the center of town, which was perfect for getting around easily. I loved that there were food spots nearby. The hotel itself was clean and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and cozy. There was coffee maker stocked with plenty of coffee, a mini-fridge, and even a small desk that was great for catching up on work. The bathroom was spotless and had all the essentials, from fresh towels to basic toiletries. The hotel also has a small fitness center and an indoor pool, which I enjoyed after a long day. A couple of minor issues, though—the area can be a bit noisy, with traffic sounds coming in through the windows since it’s such a busy spot. And the central location sometimes attracted a few shady characters around the property, which might put some people off. But overall, I’d still say it’s a great place to stay, especially if you’re looking for a lively, central spot close to everything!

I stay here at least once a month. Very fast at checking people in which is a big deal to me. No wasted time at all. Rooms are exceptionally clean, and the corporate rate from my company is very hard to beat. I have tried just about every hotel in Timmins, but this one will be the one I stay at until either the corporate rate changes or I have to go work elsewhere. Kudos to you, Holiday Inn Timmins!

Fine hotel. Downtown Timmins has some sketchy individuals like most small cities these days but this puts you closer to some local restaurants. Bathroom faucet is way too close to the back of the sink. All my coworkers complained of the same. Also they use locked and mounted soap dispensers which gives a cheaper feel. The body wash in my shower was also empty and since you can't move them I couldn't even use hand soap as a replacement meaning I didn't get a lot of soap for my first shower. Breakfast was a touch better than average hotels I've been to. I really liked the muffins and cinnamon buns. A bit of disrepair mostly on signage around the hotel but the room was in fairly good condition. I didn't like the buttons for the elevator in the lobby. At one point I stood at the front desk for awhile before the staff noticed me so they could be a bit more aware of that. They addressed my concern promptly, though. They have a pool but I didn't try it out. Internet worked fine but did slow down a bit in the morning. Overall I'd probably stay again.
